Purpose:                      The authors research the perceptions of employees regarding their company’s internal CSR practices and what impact the practices have on the employee retention. The authors are using a qualitative method by interviewing several employees from the same case company. This study is beneficial for the case company however, it can provide guidance for other companies within the same field.

Method:                      A qualitative study with 10 interviews of semi-structured nature, conducted from a case company, a multinational company located in Sweden. The interviews and literature review made it possible to connect findings and theories, in order to investigate how Corporate Social Responsibility affect employees willingness to stay within the company.

Conclusion:  The Employee Retention is affected by Internal CSR however, is not the only factor contributing to employees’ willingness to stay. Colleagues and skills development are a big part of why employees stay within the organization and Internal CSR represent skills development and career opportunities. There are also sacrifices one must consider before leaving a job for example the economical factor, the largest sacrifices shown in this study are the psychological ones. That is the relationship with colleagues and the organizational career opportunities.
