Abstract [sv]

Frågeställning: Hur arbetar revisionsföretag för att behålla senior och junior revisorer i en bransch med hög personalomsättning?

Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur revisionsföretag arbetar med retention för att behålla senior och juniorrevisorer, med foks på faktorer som arbetsbelastning, work-life balance, karriärutveckling och ledarskap.

Metod: Studien har tillämpat en kvalitativ forskningsmetod med en deduktiv ansats. Empirin samlades genom 5 semistrukturerade intervjuer. Analysen genomfördes med en tematisk analys och den teoretiska referensramen.

Slutsats: Studien visar att revisionsföretag arbetar med retention, men ofta på informella och spridda sätt. Insatser för att hantera arbetsbelastning, work-life balance, ledarskap och karriärutveckling förekommer, men varierar i struktur och genomslag.

Abstract [en]

Question: How do audit firms work to retain senior and junior auditors in an industry with high staff turnover?

Purpose: The purpose of the study is to investigate how audit firms work with retention to retain senior and junior auditors, focusing on factors such as workload, work-life balance, career development and leadership.

Method: The study has applied a qualitative research method with a deductive approach. The empirical data was collected through 5 semi-structured interviews. The analysis was conducted using a thematic analysis and the theoretical framework.

Conclusion: The study shows that audit firms work with retention, but often in informal and scattered ways. Efforts to manage workload, work-life balance, leadership and career development occur, but vary in structure and impact.
