The Default Mode Network (DMN) is associatedwith an internal self-referential view of the world, and its intrinsicproperties have been linked to different cognitive abilities. Whileits function and structure has been well characterized throughfunctional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), much less isknown about its behavior using electroencephalography (EEG).This study examines the stability of EEG-based DMN functionalconnectivity. We focus on eyes-open resting-state across multiplesessions. Using the debiased weighted Phase Lag Index (dwPLI),we analyzed connectivity patterns in the alpha band acrossfour sessions involving twenty participants. Our results showconsistent DMN connectivity patterns both within and acrossindividuals and sessions. This indicates that EEG-derived DMNconnectivity is relatively stable over time and across people. Suchstability could be relevant for the development of brain-computerinterfaces (BCI) for cognitive training that adapt to individualconnectivity patterns.
