This report describes the establishment of a maintenance programme for the Eurocopter EC-135 at Patria Helicopters AB. The helicopter was under the project preserved in Patria's premises as a result of the bankruptcy of its former owner. The helicopter is registered in Finland and the maintenance programme shall for that reason be authorized by the FCAA, Finnish Civil Aviation Authority.
Patria Helicopters is basically a Part-145 Organisation however this document will be developed in accordance with Part-M to be provided to a possible client.
The maintenance programme should be up to date with the last revision of manuals from Eurocopter, Pratt & Whitney as well as manufacturers of optional equipment. EC-135 is a light twin-engine that accommodates up to 8 people including crew, the helicopter which is the subject of the maintenance programme is ambulance equipped with equipment from Bucher.
The maintenance programme is created according to manufacturer’s recommendations and regulatory requirements. Manufacturer’s recommendations and requirements found in the relevant Maintenance Manual held by Patria's library. The authorities' requirements regarding the content of the maintenance program which can be found in Part-M and Airworthiness Directives are both available on the EASA website.
The result of this work is a document that brings together the maintenance actions required for the helicopter to be kept airworthy and describes procedures of maintaining of the document in order to continue meeting regulatory requirements and also statement of the organizations responsibility.
